overview
Quasidea - is a software development agency founded by CEO, Mike Ho. With a team of 4 developers and a project manager, Quasidea collaborates with clients to create a variety of outcomes including applications and websites.
To promote Quasidea, Mike needed a website that clearly communicates the company's mission and help clients understand areas of expertise. With this in mind, I aided in the redesigning of Quasidea.
project goals
In order to meet Quasidea's objectives, I kept two goals in mind:
Establish Quasidea as an innovative and technical company
Help users understand Quasidea's mission through site content and fun visuals
solution - landing page
In the website's previous state, product managers felt that the original site needed its own established identity. I condensed the site into one landing page for a streamlined experience, increasing foot traffic by 20%.
wireframing process
The client requested that I start from scratch to completely revamp every aspect of the previous appearance of the site. After brainstorming with the client, we produced low-fidelity wireframes that had a modern layout.
branding
To produce a unique and memorable branding, I crafted a colorful visual design (fonts, color palette, components, etc.) paired with vectored illustration.
To ensure consistency, I crafted a component library that aligned with Quasidea's branding.
Preliminary Sketches
Refined Sketches
Final vectors
high fidelity
After rounds of variations for what the landing page could look like, eventually my team and I finalized the look and feel of the page. The screens were later optimized for mobile to promote SEO.
key learnings
working around constraints
The original website's pages were taken down before I started, which limited me in knowing what worked and what didn't. Due to that, there were a lot of creative liberties that were reflected onto the final design.
